Is there any way to stop this from happening... I have 121 UPCs to update and I dont want to have to update every disc id for them again.

| | Posted: | | | | I think this is supposed to happen to improve database accuracy. If the UPC or locality changes, then the disc id should change as well. This makes the user re-enter it to ensure that this is captured. Just my take on it.  |

You could set this as an option flag and default it to keep deleting them. or better yet, have it session bound, like the flags. whenever you restart profiler you have to go into the options and set it again to keep disc ids. this could still help database integrity. hmmm... another option would be to put the checkbox on the CHANGE UPC dialog box saying "keep disc IDs"... OR you could keep disc IDs that are locked, but erase ones that aren't! I guess the possibilities are endless...
