| Posted: | | | | Recently I acquired a number of DVDs of the British television series QI. One is in the database as QI The B Series (UPC 5-051442-692020), whereas another is in the database as QI: The C Series (UPC 5-051442-734324).
I'd like to make the titles consistent, but I'm not sure which is correct. Personally I'd say the title with the colon, but I can see arguments for both.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| Posted: | | | | If this are season boxsets and "B Series" is meaning "Season 2", "C Series" is "Season 3", etc., it clearly is QI: The B Series | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Yes, it's a british show where they cover a letter of the alphabet in each series of the show. So 'Series 1' is actually 'Series A' and 'Series 2' is actually 'Series B' etc.
So it should indeed be 'QI: The B Series' and 'QI: The C Series'. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you all, this seems quite clear....
Just a small followup question: In the case of the first profile the original title is filled (with QI obviously). Would this mean that this is superfluous? Or should I fill in original title for the other profile as well? |

Just a small followup question: In the case of the first profile the original title is filled (with QI obviously). Would this mean that this is superfluous? Or should I fill in original title for the other profile as well? IMO the 'Original Title' being filled as QI is superfluous. We use the title field for TV series to fill in the title and the series name (because there is no separate series identifier field) but even though the series name is in that field the actual title (before the ':' separator) is in there as QI so the Original Title should only be filled in if the credit on the screen says something different from that (eg IF the title on the screen was "Question I" or whatever) | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
