G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

24,99 EUR is a joke, already released last year it never dropped below €20.

It's not even cheap in the UK (£16.91) or US ($19.96).

Yep, bought mine from Amazon for 19.99 USD at release date.

I think IronMan also doesn't dip very low in general and has even risen in price compared to release date on occasions.

I think that's the general case for Marvel's releases. The Incredible Hulk hasn't dropped (not that I've watched it closely). I think Iron Man finally dropped when the sequel came out, but I didn't wait that long. Anyone wanting all of the pieces of the The Avengers puzzle are going to be shelling out a bit of cash.

I'm still waiting for the Star Trek film BD to drop; I've bought the film on DVD for friends twice now and both times the (one disc) has been 75% off the original RRP.
The 2-disc DVD has held out a bit more but even that is available at less that 1/3 of the original RRP

But the BluRay... started out with an very high price RRP anyway (£30!) and has yet to drop much below£18... I can get 99% of DVDs films on release date for less than that!

I payed a crapload for my Star Trek BD but I bought the one with the Enterprise. It's one of the best collectibles I have. I was really impressed with it when I opened the box (unlike the Bat cycle I got with my Dark Knight set - still can't believe the wheels don't roll...  )

As far as BDs actually dropping in price from what I see it's happening already. There are many sales where you can get titles for under $10.00. You have to put it into perspective a bit though. It took many years for the $5.00 bin to appear at Wal*Mart. Now $5.00 DVDs are everywhere. BD will get there eventually. I don't know the numbers but I do know it's market share isn't that great yet. As it's share increases (if it increases) the prices will drop. You can get players for $100.00 if you look hard enough. HDTVs are getting cheaper every week. It wont be long before you see a $7.50 Blu-ray bin somewhere, there just has to bee enough older releases to make it happen.

I'm waiting for the "Friday the 13th" 1-3 Blus to go down, plus "Flatliners" - under $15 would be nice.

7,98 €
24,99 € (x 3,13)

4,99 £
16,92 £ (x 3,39)

18,99 $ (?!)
21,49 $

Two months later the B-rD price is still ridiculous.

Still waiting on both of these.

They're two films I actually want to upgrade from my DVD copies, but there's no way I'm paying between $25.99 - $32.99 for either of them. I'd even be willing to pay up to about $19.99 for them, but (locally at least) I've never seen them go even close to being that low.
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

At October 29th, Amazon lowered the price to 18,99 EUR.

At November 1st, Amazon lowered the price to 14,99 EUR.

(or 11,-- EUR, if bundled with two other Paramount B-rDs, for a total of 33,-- EUR)

At November 2nd, Amazon lowered the price to 12,99 EUR.

11,-- EUR, yes, that's ok.

You probably already did, if not, might be a good time to check out again your friendly neighborhood online shop.

Today bought at a 4 for 3, so I got it for ~9,75 Eur.
Btw, Star Trek and Iron Man have been also available.
I hate it to be patiened to wait for good prices, but my wallet thanks it.

Same here... but then I look at my hundreds of unwatched titles and think I really DO have something to watch whilst I wait!
