| | Posted: | | | | Per the rules we are supposed to remove redundant suffixes from company names, when the locality is otherwise known.
In this case it causes a problem for me. "AB" is the equivalent to "Inc.", etc. So would it be correct to remove the "AB" as a prefix as well?
All over hundreds of DVD covers it says since quite many years "AB Svensk Filmindustri".
They used to be called only Svensk Filmindustri.
Wikipedia removes the AB in their article. |

Well, so is BBC. Do you plan to remove them as well? yeah, I think you have to be careful with abbreviations. Some companies actually use that as their name. Your best bet would be to look at official sites or documents if possible. For example Twentieth Century Fox have never called themselves 20th Century Fox on their websites, which is why Ken introduced the filter. But the BBC actually call themselves the BBC, or BBC Worldwide. I don't know about the two you mention though. |

Well, so is BBC. Do you plan to remove them as well? I'm removing everything!  Nah, just kidding. Actually it seems that even though they (SVT) formally still are "Sveriges Television", they choose to call themselves only SVT thoughout. But about SF, that's more like an abbreviation, IMO. |

| | Posted: | | | | In Norway Svensk Filmindustri BD's and DVD's are labeled like: Distributed by SF Norge. So in Norway we easily can add it as SF as mediacompany. Not sure if Norge (Norway) could be attatched though  | | | "What's God?"
