I was wondering if the production year for a TV DVD would be when the first episode included is aired or the first episode on that season.

For example a season split into two halves, the first episode on the first half aired in 2005 and the first episode on the second half in 2006. Would the production year for the second half be 2006?
These are separate DVD releases.

Yes the second half would be 2006 we are to use the Airdate of the first episode of the first disc of that set. Or the first episode on the disc for disc level profiles.

Absolutely agree. First half would be 2005, second half 2006.

I agree as well.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I disagree!

Just kidding - of course it's 2005...
