Good day, Sirs,

when trying to replace the "Every detail with front and back cover" layout
with "All fields visible plus" or "For large screen" I get the following error message:

I'm using Version 3.5.1 (build 1252) on Vista. What's wrong with me?

Love, bbbbb

I think the message is misleading as I got it before and it was nothing to do with needing newer version but, sorry, it was ages ago and I forget what the real problem was

I think once you open a layout file with the 3.6 beta, it no longer works in 3.5

Didn't Load a Layout in the 3.6 (build 1302) yet.

Now when I try to "Get More Layouts..." in the beta they seem to download correctly, but do not show at all.

Possibly a "Parallel" mode issue.

Could be. You could check in the registry if both versions don't point to the same layout file.

It's located in:

HKey_Current_User\Software\Invelos Software\DVD Profiler

and

HKey_Current_User\Software\Invelos Software\DVD Profiler_Beta

The value is named: LayoutFileName. Check if 3.5 isn't pointing to the Beta folder or vice versa.

Also check the PathLayouts value for both versions.

The LayoutFileName is correct in both versions. As is the AppPath.

DVD Profiler_Beta does not contain any of the PathCreditPhotos, PathFilterSets,..., PathLayouts,... entries.

Tools -> Options... -> File Folders again are set correctly by default.

Looks like you're missing some registry keys then. All those keys are present in my Beta, and pointing to the beta folder as well.

You could manually create the 7 keys and point them to the right folder. You might need to download the layout files again, or just re-install 3.5. It should overwrite the layout files again.

If all this fails, I'm running out of options to try myself, I'm afraid.

Thank you for the answers, Sirs.

Yes, I'm missing keys in the 3.6, but the paths in the options are set correctly. Downloading the layout files again is of no use, neither in 3.5 nor in 3.6. If I copy the layouts manually into the C:\Users\bbbbb\Documents\DVD Profiler_Beta\Layouts directory, they load. I deleted all layouts from C:\Users\bbbbb\Documents\DVD Profiler\Layouts, an anew download seems to work but only result is the error message from the initial post.

Something is wrong.
