is there a way to get a final total on how much a collection is worth?

i had a fire and i need a final amount of all dvd titles i own. is there a way to get a total from all dvds in a collection other then adding them up one by one?

when i did that it only came up a with a little over 200 bucks. i guess its going by the movies i wrote the purchasing price i listed for the few i did put in. is there a way to get a price from the databases SRP prices of all the movies i own?

None that I would be aware of.
I hope that in addition to your database you have a photography of your collection. Most insurance companies need that as a proof.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

Unless your SRP fields are also blank, you should see both totaled at the very end of that DVD Discount report.
Note that the report just runs straight sum totals... it doesn't make adjustments for multiple currencies, so keep that skew in mind if it applies.

Just what I was going to suggest; DVD Discount Report 1.0 by Doug M will add up the SRPs and give a nice hunky total.

Alternatively you can use the Charts and Graphs function to give you Total SRP by year and then just add those together.
