Lately, my wife has been buying some offbeat DVDs. These are primarily 1) documentaries from A&E or the History Channel, or 2) made-for-TV movies put onto DVD by some rinky-dink company or another. None of these DVDs have UPCs.
What's the proper way to add these DVDs? |

| Posted: | | | | The best way is to add the DVD by the UPC number.
If there is no UPC insert the DVD into your computer and have the computer read the disc. Finally you can add the DVD by it's title.
All of these are under DVD > Add to Collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Kathy is, of course, spot on but I would like to add that if you suspect that the DVDs are actually pirates (there are plenty of 'companies' that illegally put out DVD recordings) then make sure you add only by Title or (at least) do not contribute them to the main database. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
