Hello,

I am running v2.5 and v3.0 in parallel on my PC.

After making a backup from v2.5, and importing it to v3.0, I did my homework and corrected all the invalid EAN that had not been converted properly.

I noticed at that point that several titles simply do not exist in the new online DB.

F.i.EAN 7321931631716 is immediately identified in v2.5 as Yes Minister Serie 3, when it is not recognized at all in v3.0.

Yet, this title has already been contributed twice: Oct 16, 2000 and Jan 10, 2004.

Are some data missing from the transfered DB?

And even stranger, all names of the contributors have disappeared.
When names appear, they are completely different from what appears in v2.5.

Or is the DB reconstructed on Invelos ONLY from the new contributions made using v3.0?

The contributions to IVS database are not in the Invelos database.

The IVS database was not transposed when Invelos was created.

This is due to the Invelos database being entirely new, so unsure your data is correct and submit, then it will be in the Invelos database.

Hi,
the Invelos (v3.0) and Intervocative (v2.5) databases are (at the moment) separate entities, so yes, there will be entries in one database that won't be in the other. That also explains why they have different contributors.
There are plans to merge the databases soon, but in the mean time, if you have profiles for DVDs imported from 2.5 that aren't in the new 3.0 database, please contribute them!

From the top menu select Online > Contribute DVD Profile (making sure you're connected to the internet)

Which is exactly what everyone did to create the 3.0 database; that's how it was built
