| | Posted: | | | | Hi fellows, I just downloaded the 3.02 version from the website, directly purchased it during installation, entererd my Key, but can't start the program. I get to a little screen asking me wether to add new titles or to take me to the main menu. Once I click it the splash screen shows up for half a second and after that the process is killed immediately. When I try to start DVD profiler using it's icon I get the same result, brief moment of the splash screen, then nothing. No process remains running. Tried restart and re-installing - nothing. It's basically a clean XP system with no problems whatsoever in any other apps. I've tried it on another system (server, which isn't anywhere near my living room) and it starts fine there. Basically the same hardware system with the exception that the server has no monitor installed at all (running virtually on UXGA) and the system on which it should be running has a dual screen (3200x1200). Any ideas ? Maybe I was too fast buying the app, but with a software in it's 3.xx state I wouldn't expect such a behaviour  Tobias |

| | Posted: | | | | My guess is that its the resolution which is too high. (There used to be a problem with an old version which didn't like too high resolution..) You say you are running a dual screen 3200 x 1200.. Normally a dlal monitor would have each screen coming off a separate videocard and each only having a resolution of 1600 x 1200..  | | | | Paul |

| | Posted: | | | | Unfortunately it's one videocard with windows set to 3200x1200 over here - Windows just sees one monitor. Maybe there's a way to tell DVD Profiler at which window size it shall start ?? |

I haven't noticed that the first time I saw your post, but Paul pointed out the dual screen. Are you having both monitors switched on...? (Pardon if it sounds like a stupid question.) If not, then maybe DVD Profiler is opening on the side of the screen that is not available right now...? Happened to some users in the past... Any idea on what I might chance inside the DVDPro config to make it start up without those keys pressed ?

Tobias Have you tried loading the Default - High Resolution Layout? It says it is for resolutions of 1600 x 1200 and higher. |

Tobias Just as a test, can you start the program with the keys pressed and then look in the Task Manager? Check if either under Applications "DVD Profiler" or at least under "Processes" dvdpro.exe" is still showing? I haver a feeling that the program is not shutting down, just "disappearing"... | | | Achim [諾亞信； Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan.
