| Posted: | | | | Having a collection of 4000+ does not happen over night. A library that large could take years and therefore watching them as you get them would be easy. If the "bug" ever does bit you at least your got a great app in DVDP to track them. It has taken me almost 4 years to reach the 1200+ in my lbrary and yes I have watched at least 95% of them. |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, I suppose you're right. I thought I had the bug when I went over 200...hehe..I've had surround sound for 10 years and now have a 55" HD widescreen with blu-ray, surround, directtv, video on demand, etc. etc. I guess I have the bug, just shocked at how many dvds some folks have. |

I may be out of the club but since I last posted in this thread I've added another 84 Titles in three months, the way it's going I'll be back by the end of the year! | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety. I can't speak for other people, but I can tell you that for movie boxset, I separate them and count each movie once. For example, Alien Quadrilogy is 4 items.
OTOH, for TV series, I count each season of a series as 1, so Star Trek Next Gen would be 7 items, and the whole Farscape Startburst series (which came as 3 volumes per season) would be counted as 4 (which I still need to correct in my db though). But isn't that kinda cheating when your counting and comparing your total to other peoples totals? I only have 535 but at least 15 of those are full tv series. | | | VIDEO: Epson 5040UB - Elite Screen 120" White 1.1 Gain VIDEO: Sony UBP-X800 - Nvidia Shield - HTPC AUDIO: XTZ Cinema M6 L/C/R - S5 Surrounds - S2 Atmos - HSU VTF-3 MK4 Sub AUDIO: Marantz AV7702mkII - Emotiva XPA-5 - Emotiva A-500 OTHER: Panamax M5400-PM & MR4000 - URC MX-990 |

Skip Well, I was wrong. I've made 4,000 (4,020) before the end of September, let alone before the end of the year. 370 in four months! | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety. Kerr Avon Blakes 7 Series 4, Ep. Blake. |

| Posted: | | | | BORGIE, You mentioned you were struggling for storage space, this is a good thread with lots of ideas. I have over 1000 dvd's in my collection, and have had to resort to building the missus and sliding door wardrobe so I could take over her cupboard and shelve it all out my self. I haven't finshed, but Im pleased with it so far. I even wired lights up in there! Hope this help and you can see my collection in that thread. | | | Is it me?
