I had a disc on my X-Files complete collection that refused to play, it was just skip and have distortions on the screen. I then tried it another dvd player and had no problem. | | | We're on a mission from God.

Yeah, I had that one. There was a similar release of Terminator that went bad also. Same here but that was totally different from the 'rot' on CDs and laserdiscs and should not really be counted under the same banner; it was a 'one-off' mistake in the dyes used on the label (IIRC) and an exchange was offered at the time. | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
