| Posted: | | | | Ironic in that my circle of friends and associates, my 850 or so collection is called "huge, retarded, insane, etc." I'll send them to this thread next time they say have too many dvds. BTW, I only have gaps in local collection due to child profiles, looks like they're all in order and out of the boxes on the online list. Too bad my custom pictures don't show up there. I bet some think I have multiple copies of movies I don't due to the boxsets and children. |

| Posted: | | | | Draxen: It's a little hard to really get a good picture of the collection but I will try. My collection fills one room and I have an overflow area with two cases in my home office. Will try to post pictures. I don't have a web site. How do you upload pictures???
P.S. Draxen I couldn't figure out how to get the pictures up on the forum. Sent them to you in an email. Let me know if the size of the images prevented them from coming through and I will try sending them to you one at a time. | | | NightHawke Wherever I go, there I am!? | | | Last edited: by NightHawke |

I'll have to say that that is a massive amount of DVDs... but you also seem to have been able to store them quite economically even if one room had to be dedicated to them. If it's okay with you, I can upload them to my webspace and send you the links that you can use to show the photos in your post? I'll send you an email about that. Thanks again for responding to my curiosity I have always wondered what it could look like to have that large a collection - mine is about 20% of yours... | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. | Posted: | | | | The entire collection is in alphabetical order (and yes I periodically have to shuffle things around a bit). Of the entire collection there are only 64 movies that I have not watched at least once. I am a big fan of the "older" movies and the majority have been acquired to replace my aging VHS collection. I think that I am down to somewhere around 350 remaining VHS tapes that are stored on book cases in my closet. | | | NightHawke Wherever I go, there I am!? |

| Posted: | | | | I used to have my collection in alphabetical order, but it became too much, as I could go around looking forever to find something to watch. I decided to divide them into genres, and then store the alphabetically within each genre. Made it easier to find.
I also am toying with idea of buying som filing cabinets and store them according to DVDProfiler's numbering system. Downside is I won't be able to see the spines and have to use DVDProfiler to find out what I should be watching, but I would not need to be shuffling the collection now and then, which is a lot of work sometimes.
Impressive collection, I must say. But the most impressing is not the collection in itself, but that you've actually watched most of it. | | | |
