Regarding the rule...
"If the credit information is entirely capitalized, use standard capitalization rules instead."

If the credit information is entirely lower case, as in Quantum of Solace, can we use standard capitalization for this also?

Just as a contrary side to this, the UK Blu-ray was accepted with the lower case entries.

... and the 2-disc DVD - not being contrary, just factual, as I fully agree with Hal!

Sorry, I didn't mean to state that my opinion was contrary, only that the data had been accepted into the database as on screen.

The 2-disc DVD has been accepted for this reason also. It is all lower case in the credits. But I was wondering if anyone would object to standard captilization being used in this case.

I would prefer if standard capitalisation rules were used in cases like this. I see no reason to try and imitate typographical gimmicks, it only makes the text less readable.

I agree Kinoniki, less readable, less  consistent and esthetically sloppy.

Okay, I will stick my hand up and say I submitted the UK Quantum of Solace Blu-ray cast as lower case, because that is what I saw on the screen and the rules didn't say anything on the matter (we know how dangerous it is to "interpret" the rules  ).
Anyway, if the concensus is that normal capitalisation should be used, then I won't object to it a submission changing it to Standard Capitalisation
You can download higher resolution versions of any of my cover scans from here

I voted to allow them in before on the same basis as Lewpy adding them in. As I said the other day regarding a different area, if the intent was to not allow them it would've been easy enough to say as much. Here it's a simple case (no pun) of just saying "If either all upper case or all lower case use standard capitalisation rules".

On that basis & that basis alone, I would keep them as is until either the rules are changed or Ken/Gerri make a statement saying otherwise. This is not on a personal preference or anything else, solely on how the rules are worded at this time.

That's all easy for you to say in Monday Morning Quaterback role, amigo. And me too, and it was ME, but at the time....we didn't know what we didn't know. Now as I have said i also envisioned the Rules  being (1) a good bit more flexible to deal with waht we didn't know and (2) the Rules being far more responsive to changing conditions than has proven to be th case. I will thank you to not try and tell ME what you think the intent was or should have been, I can tell you what it WAS.

I didn't try and tell you anything. I simply said IF the intent... I'm sorry but if all uppercase situations were thought of but not all lowercase then I'll be pretty surprised (if not by Users, then by Invelos). Also as has been said many times by more than one person, what the intent in the Rules Committee WAS and what the final wording IS are two separate entities.

Edit: To reiterate what I said in my second post, I haven't given my opinion of what should be done, solely what has happened already and what is allowed by the wording of the rules.
