I need to run at 800x600 or lower and DVD Profiler doesn't fit. What can I do? Your screen resolution is low and DVD Profiler does not run correctly.
Answer: The minimum requirement for the program is 1024x768. The only solution is to increase your screen resolution. You can do this via Windows' control panel, Display settings. If this answered your question, please let us know
I'm running at 1024x768 or higher, but the windows still don't fit, or they don't look right. What do I do to fix this? DVD Profiler menus and window text is too large and overlaps itself.
Answer: Are you running in "large fonts" mode? Check the Advanced tab under your Display Settings for Windows. DVD Profiler is not compatible with "large fonts" mode. If this answered your question, please let us know
Some of my titles appear in an odd order when sorted by title. How do I change it? You may also wish to adjustl title sort order to keep series together.
Answer: Edit the Sort Title field to control how the title sorts alphabetically. The Sort Title field is editable under DVD->Personalize or DVD->Edit. If this answered your question, please let us know
I've made changes to my layout that make it impossible for me to load another layout. You need to reset your layout to the default layout.
Answer: Press and hold the CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT keys while you start DVD Profiler. It will load a default layout file. If this answered your question, please let us know
DVD Profiler starts minimized and won't restore. How do I fix it? If DVD Profiler isn't closed properly, the restored window size may not be correct.
Answer: To fix this, launch the program then immediately press and hold CTRL while DVD Profiler starts once. If this answered your question, please let us know
The thumbnails show as red. How do I fix it? In DVD Profiler's thumbnail or details view, some or all of the thumbnails show as a red rectangle.
Answer: When DVD Profiler encounters an error displaying a thumbnail, it displays the title with a red background to indicate the error. First, run a database repair via Tools->Options->Utilities, or via the Windows Start menu, in the DVD Profiler group If the images still show in error, try rebuilding the thumbnails. Right-click the thumbnail view and select "Rebuild Thumbnails" If a particular profile still shows red after the repair, it indicates the image file is likely damaged. Try refreshing the image via Online->Refresh DVD from Invelos->Refresh Images Only, or by editing the image directly. If this answered your question, please let us know
Floating Point Error, or missing text on buttons. You're experiencing either a floating point error at program startup, AND/OR missing text on some or all of the buttons in DVD Profiler.
Answer: This is usually caused by a missing or corrupted Tahoma font. The Tahoma font is a standard Windows font that is installed by default on all versions of Windows from 95 and up. You can download the tahoma font here. Download and open the file to install it. Alternatively, open the Fonts section of the Windows Control Panel and install it via that interface. This error can also be caused by a corrupted online profile list file. To correct this, from DVD Profiler's main menu, select Online->Refresh Online Profile List while holding CTRL. Owned category shows an incorrect total (usually quite large). The collection tabs are correct except for "Owned" which shows a very large count.
Answer: This can happen when you have one or more entries that are not in any collection - owned, ordered, etc. We've made an updated version of the database repair utility available that finds and fixes these problems. You can download it here. If this answered your question, please let us know
