Sometimes a locality of a DVD will get corrected, which means deleting the profile from the main database in favour of a version with the correct locality. If I understand correctly, the profile will remain in people's personal collections; they just won't be updated. That being the case, is there any way to determine which profiles in a collection have been deleted from the main database so that users can delete their version in favour of the version that will potentially be updated?

Yes, when incorrect localities are fixed, people generally ask for the DVD with the wrong locality to be deleted.

Hmm, that could do in a pinch. The problem is I have a pretty large collection, so that is useful if I already suspect a DVD is offline, but it would probably take hours to click on individial DVDs to see if that's greyed out. I'm looking more for something that could scan my collection for DVDs not in the system. But that is still a good thing to keep an eye out for.

I'm about to release an updated BulkEdit with the CLT tool. What the heck, as if BulkEdit were not bloated enough, can you tell me in a little more detail what that scan would do? There are a bunch of "high speed" online searches that are available to plugins. For example, the CLT tool ("CLTBoss") uses a database call that says "please give me all the profiles that are associated with this UPC". A fraction of a second later, you get a list from all localities, and all variants that use the UPC as a base. Could that help? Scan your collection, extract the UPC base, and return any matches, regardless of locality? It might take some time for the scan ...

- edit one profile and disable media banners, save and close
- select DVD -> Copy
- press CTRL-A
- select Collection -> Flagged -> Paste
- select Confirm ... (top), Media Banners (lower right) and Override Locks (bottom) -> OK

From my point of view - but maybe AndyEN should answer this question - getting all profiles for one UPC is the wrong direction. As I understood the problem: He wants to find all the profiles in HIS personal data base, which do NOT belong to a online profile.

So the job to do would be:
For Each local profile
    IF the profile is not downloadable from the online data base THEN ADD the local profile to a list of abandoned profiles
provide the list of abandoned profiles for further investigation/export/tagging/whatever...
