I have some doubts about this. The initial post refers to https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0425037/ as the one and only reference, and that page is a mess. For instance: it lists 5 photos of her, but those photos show two entirely different people. The first three of those photo's show an Elisa Johnson who's
the daughter of Magic Johnson. That's lovely, but IMDb's other two pictures, including the profile picture, the blonde shown in this thread as well, is definitely not the same person. So who are we talking about here? Magic Johnson's daugher is no make-up artist, that's for sure.
There is, however, a make-up artist named
Elisa Marsh - couldn't that be the person we're talking about here? She isn't the blonde that we're seeing here either, but she is an accomplished make-up artist for which more sources can be found than IMDb alone - there are interviews, there's an Emmy nomination, there's an official LinkedIn-page. And one of things that strikes me particularly is the fact that this Elisa Marsh is credited in
Ocean's Eleven for "Additional Makeup" - not a valid credit for our purposes, but still interesting to note when we subsequently see a *valid* make-up credit for Elisa Johnson Marsh in
Ocean's Twelve. Wouldn't it be plausible if
Ocean's Eleven's "Additional Makeup" credit for Elisa Marsh is the same person as Elisa Johnson Marsh's valid make-up credit in
Ocean's Twelve - wouldn't that be a logical job progression?
If this is
not the Elisa Marsh I think she is, then I'd have to believe this *other* make-up artist suddenly landed a major make-up job on
Ocean's Twelve, working with the likes of George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, after only having worked on a couple of low-budget and made-for-TV movies? And after suddenly graduating to "the big league" with
Ocean's Twelve, she apparently never ever worked again? That seems a lot less plausible then to assume she's really Elisa Marsh...
All in all, I'm not so sure that this person's common name should be either Elisa Johnson, Elisa Johnson Marsh or Elisa Johnson-Marsh - it could also be
Elisa Marsh. It's not that I can 100% prove that my hunch is correct, but I do have serious doubts about whether this really is a separate person, and the fact that the IMDb-page that serves as the only reference for this thread is clearly messed up as the photos clearly show two very different persons, doesn't help to alleviate those doubts…
