| Posted: | | | | I ignored some of dvdprofiler alphabetical orders on my shelves for example; I organized some of its sequels in production years instead of following its' alphabetical order.
Other hand, I organized a little different way, I reorder sequels, for example; Chinatown (Jack Nicholson) and the next to it would be "The Two Jakes" (Jack Nicholson) so that way I will know both DVDs are connected together instead separating from each other. Other Jack Nicholson made other sequel titles differently from each other that are "The Terms of Endearment" and "The Evening Star".
I have been struggling with two titles are Jesse James and The Return of Frank James. Both acted by Henry Fonda and its about Jesse James (Tyrone Power) in first part of sequel and the next movie focus on Frank James who plays in two films. I organized Jesse James and next DVD is Frank James but there are so many titles for example; The Last Days of Frank & Jesse James, True Story of Jesse & Frank James, etc. I wanted to collect and keep those together not put in far off shelves from each other. HELP! Ideas? |

If the poster actually asks about the online collection, since it is posted in the Online forum, then tags won't be of any use. Sort Title works, though. One problem with sort titles is that you'll get different behavior in Profiler and online for child profiles. Online they won't be listed under their parent. If only someone had requested better box set handling in the online collection. Oh, wait, I think it has been requested. More than once. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Whenever I have a series of films I want to keep together I decide on a series name (Bond, MCU, Chan, etc.) and then decide on the order I want the films listed within that group.
For example, the sort titles for all my James Bond films are "Bond 01", "Bond 02", "Bond 03", etc. and I have these in production order.
The sort titles for all my Marvel MCU films are "MCU 01", "MCU 02", etc. and I have all these in MCU timeline order (as best I can tell).
I keep my Charlie Chan films in production order with the sort titles "Chan 01", "Chan 02", etc. This all works pretty well for me.
