| Posted: | | | | In an attempt to add DVDs today, DVD Profiler 3.0.1 Build 1104 initaites the normal Internet Database Connection and it starts to download the Online Profile List. Download Rate gradually goes down to zero within about 10 seconds. The diaog box never resumes -- it's attempting to download 12 bytes of data. I've made numerous attempts, opened a new database from scratch and repaired my existing database. No change. I can cancel the task, it ends and informs me that I must do the download to proceed.
Anyone else run into this? Is there a server issue causing this? Please someone, help me out here.

Is this a typo? If not, I expect that's your problem. Yes, it's a typo -- Yes, it's my problem, I've fixed -- now, do you have a better answer? :-) |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, the internet connection works perfectly. I did attempt to uninstall and then reinstall and I have the same results. I am on Vista and this was working fine before I upgraded to 1104. The release just prior to 1104 (before Mar 18) is what I downloaded first and used, it had worked just fine. I can also upload my content to the servers with no issues.
I've also turned off the the MS Firewall to see if that might be a problem -- no go.
thanks in advance for light anyone can shed on this -- the program is useless without this feature. | | | Last edited: by cratner |

| Posted: | | | | Okay, here's a positive update. I went back to the Online settings and checked the Alternate Connection check box and voila --- it flew like a charm.
Does anyone know what the Alternate Connection check box is doing?
BTW, if you click the Test Internet Connection button after setting this checkbox, it will clear the checkbox. |
