| Posted: | | | | Just encountered a profile where the on-screen credit is Recording Machine Operator and the profile lists this as Sound Re-Recording Mixer, this is not valid is it?
I can't line up that credit with one of these:
Re-recording Mixer, Sound Mixing, Principal Sound Mixer, Sound Re-recording, Sound Re-recording Engineer, Sound Re-recordist, Dubbing Mixer

No, I'd say that that credit doesn't qualify for entry into the DVD Profiler database, no. |

| Posted: | | | | Without specifying what machine it is, it could just as well be the camera operator (not necessarily the DoP, mind you). After all, many movies are now digitally recorded... Either way, it is not a listed job description for a crew member AFAIK. And recording is not the same as mixing or re-recording. | | | Eric

| Posted: | | | | My guess is that would probably equate to Production Sound Mixer, but we can't guess at these things for inclusion in to the database. So, for now at least, it is an invalid credit. |
