| Posted: | | | | Plan to add the brothers DVD to my profiler, we live in the same house and the amount of duplicates where we both have the same DVD is getting silly...
So I have created 2 Collection Lists; "My DVDs" and "Brothers DVDS". Have them both set to include the contents in the owned list. This way the online and the desktops "Owned" will be the master list and the desktop will also split them.
so the questions are...
1 - Is there a quick way to move all the DVDs currently in "Owned" over to "My DVDs"?
2 - Can each collection have a custom collection number so either the brothers list is B1, B2 etc or his start at 1001, 1002 etc.

| Posted: | | | | For 1. Could you flag all the dvds you want to move, then move them all at once to the right category? I don't have enough time to go double check, sorry, but that's what I'd do...
And 2, I would imagine you could def. set up unique collection numbers, but I think you'd have to maintain them manually rather than automatically. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | 1 - Cant see a Move All option, Doesn't drag and drop. Even with all ticked if you use Move it just moves the 1st one. 2 - Think I will leave the numbering to auto, I would only make mistakes TIA |

| Posted: | | | | There is a Move All option, no need to flag profiles. Via the menu (Collection -> Other... -> Edit Custom Collection Categories) you'll find a button underneath the varous collections list (="category name"). Select the "Brothers DVDS" collection, then select the correct Move All option in the dropdown.
That same "Edit Custom Collection Categories" sets the option for separate collection numbering. 1. On the bottom of that window you can specify whether your numbering is category (=collection) specific. 2. Then select that coategory in the list and in the upper right check the "Collection Numbers" option. 3. Leave with "OK" and use the Collection -> Reassign Collection Numbers... option to renumber.
P.S.: How to start numbering from 1000 and upward I am not sure... | | | Eric

| Posted: | | | | Thanks all.
I managed to move them using the Bulk Edit plug-in.
The 2nd question was just an afterthought but I can live with it. |
