| Posted: | | | | Previously I made an error and submitted a dvd with the wrong location. I later corrected my mistake, but now there are 2 entries with the same upc. Isn't that a problem? I thought the upc code was there to make a make unique identification. Does anyone have thoughts on that?? |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, I didn't know that. When I had 2 entries with same UPC added in my collection, and tried to edit one of them, the software crashed. When I removed one of the entries, everything was working again. I assumed it had something to do with the fact that both entries had the same upc. | | | Last edited: by 123456 |

| Posted: | | | | Although, if you submitted the UPC to two different localities, there may be one under each Locality. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Whichever one is incorrect needs a retraction. Just change the Title on the incorrect Profile to something like 'DELETE' and leave an explanation in the description.
Which barcode is it? | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, you are right. In a comment I made invelos aware of the problem, but they did not remove anything. UPC: 25D4-B547-26CA-82B5 (Call me by your name) |

| Posted: | | | | In that case, I believe they're both wrong. '25D4-B547-26CA-82B5' is a Disc ID. The UPC should be the barcode on the back of the packaging. What is the barcode? Is it 5035822018938?
Disc IDs should only be contributed if the purchase has no barcode.
BTW, the Locality of the Profile is the place where the relevant DVD or Blu-ray is to be sold. In this case the Locality is United Kingdom. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, the barcode is 5035822018938 I that case, I am confused. Do you mean to say, locality is where I am currently living, regardless of the fact that the disc was imported and thus intended for a different market?? |

| Posted: | | | | Locality refers to the country where the disc is originally produced by a distributor and sold by a retailer. For a unique identifier in the online database the combination of locality+UPC/EAN is principally used. So if you imported it from, say, a Swedish retailer (I mean a physical shop) the locality would be Sweden. Note: Amazon (whether it is .co.uk, or .de or...) also sells across countries. Like amazon.de selling a UK version. This is usually clearly indicated. When the German site sells a UK edition, locality would be UK. Your own country of residence is not relevant. | | | Eric
If it is important, say it. Otherwise, let silence speak. |

| Posted: | | | | I thought so too. This disc was imported from United Kingdom through a local retailer. Therefore locality should be United Kingdom. But right now there are 2 entries in the database, one with United Kingdom and one with Denmark as locality. |

| Posted: | | | | There is no entry for 5035822018938 in the United Kingdom.
But there are two entries for '25D4-B547-26CA-82B5'. One for the United Kingdom and one for Denmark. Neither of these are correct. The barcode is the unique identifier. The Universal Product Code.
Disc IDs are only used for items with no barcode (or Box Set contents).
I am going to create a Profile for the United Kingdom and try and get these other two removed. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Grey hulk, it looks like they have accepted your profile, but the 2 other profiles are still there. This means there are 3 entries and just one disc. | | | Last edited: by 123456 |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah. The other Profiles will take a while to get removed. They have to go through the voting process first in case anyone objects to their removal. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |
