Hi All,

I'm having a problem that when selecting a scanner in DVD Profiler it only shows the WIA scanner sources and not the TWAIN ones when my wife is logged onto our PC.  However when I logon to our PC DVD Profiler shows both the WIA and TWAIN scanner sources when selecting a scanner.  This matters to us because of the very limited scanning options available and poor quality cover scans produced when using the same scanner via the WIA scanner source as opposed to the TWAIN scanner source.  DVD Profiler is installed on a Windows 8.1 Professional PC and the connected scanners are a Canon 8800F scanner and a Canon MG5460 printer/scanner/copier.

To help troubleshoot this issue I installed another TWAIN/WIA compatible software package called NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner 2).  When selecting a scanner in this software it shows both TWAIN and WIA scanner sources when either of us are logged onto our PC.  Thus a TWAIN scanner source can be used from the NAPS2 software when my wife is logged on but not from DVD Profiler.

To try fixing this issue myself, I've tried uninstalling DVD Profiler while I was logged onto our PC, logon as my Wife, rename the C:\Users\<Wife's Username>\AppData\Local\DVD Profiler to C:\Users\<Wife's Username>\AppData\Local\DVD Profiler.OLD and re-installing it from scratch.  However that didn't work as the TWAIN scanner sources still don't show when she is logged on but still show when I"m logged on.  I also noticed that it works properly when using a third spare administrative account.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the TWAIN scanner source show in DVD Profiler when my wife is logged onto the computer (apart from the drastic step of deleting my wife's Windows user profile)?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
