My DVD Profiler has stopped saving backups where it is directed to. I have it set to save backups (backup.dpb) to C:\Program Files (x86)\DVD Profiler\My Backups but it has stopped doing that. After a lot of searching, I finally found where it is saving backups to...
C:\Users\home\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\DVD Profiler\My Backups

My dvd collection is small, just a bit over two thousand DVDs and I have plenty of free space left on my hard drive and my DVD Profiler is up to date in version.  The last save date wants to stay at 5/28/15 and a smaller size.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Windows Vista and higher does not allow programs to write into the Program Files directory, and will instead move the files automatically into the VirtualStore directory.

You'll need to choose a different directory for your backup files on Vista/7/8/10.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and it has ALWAYS saved to my directory choice of C:\Program Files (x86)\DVD Profiler\My Backups up until just a couple months ago, after the end of May, 2015.
I did update the program in May to Version: 3.9.1, Build 1657.  Perhaps that is what created the change as I've no other answer as to why it changed all of a sudden.  BUT thanks for your input and I will try saving to another folder...maybe just my Downloads folder.
