When I choose a custom icon for a custom category in DVD Pro.  It shows while I have the program open, but is not retained once the program closes.  When I re-launch DVD Pro, I get this scrambled image in lieu of my intended icon (the criterion logo, in this example).

Seems not a problem accessing CustomCategories.dat. I could not produce any error with pngs with or without transparency (pixel or alpha channel).

So my assumption is that a reduced color depth of the icon causes the problem. Try a true color image.

Thanks for the reply bbbbb, any hints on how to save as true color?  It appears that the dialog box for selecting a custom image only excepts type png.

Can you post the original icon in question for review?

Try this:    (it's a png mislabeled as jpg, rename to .png)

There's no problem with this image (24 bpp). I can only reproduce a display problem with pngs with a reduced color depth of eg 8 or 4 bpp.
