Proxy for Contribution |

| | Posted: | | | | I am having a problem contributing. I am behind a proxy so I have set up DVD Profiler with my proxy details and I can download profiles and upload my Profile to My Profiler when I am doing this the standard web username and password box pops up for my peoxy password. However when I am trying to contribute this does not happen I get an error HTTP/1.1. 407 Proxy Authentication Required. I have ticked the box in Online options and input my username and password but everytime I click out of it it forgets that I have ticked the box and resets to not be ticked.
Anyone got any help? |

have you tried alternate internetconnection without proxy?

| | Posted: | | | | I do have proxy ticked but i get an error askeing for proxy authenitcation but as I said it wont let me save my username and password whenever I tick the box to enter the credentials it just unticks itself. |

| | Posted: | | | | Not really helpful I suppose but FWIW I've always had the same problem. As a result the only time I've contributed profile data is from an ancient P4 laptop at home and that bugger is just too damn slow to use for anything more than surfing or checking email. All I can figure is its something that your sys admin would have to address. Since the computer I'm working from is not mine but belongs to the company I work for, I'm not about to ask them to modify thier firewall settings so I can do more non-company business on thier dime.  |
