For example, actors data are stored in files as Actors.BLB or ACTORASSGN.DAT. When you remove actors, those files keep the same size. Compacting Data Space makes those files smaller. It has no consequence on DVDprofiler functions, but I suppose "clean" files are better to avoid errors and allow the program to run faster (not sure you will notice that  )
