The region one time is 293 minutes and the region 4 version is 281. Can anyone please tell me what is missing from the shorter version (if anything). |

The phenomenon is called PAL-speedup. Region 1 = NTSC = normal speed
Region 4 = PAL = 4% faster than normal due to the PAL speedup.

| | Posted: | | | | If you know the proper un-sped-up running time of something, and want to know if your release is a possible PAL transfer, here's a good calculator conversion for that: http://www.paradiso-design.net/index_en.htmlI've used that tool for years, and it's often come in handy. Even some NTSC DVD's can be sourced from a PAL transfer and still retain the shorter running time. | | | | Corey |
