Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos Timeout

My internet connection works, I can upload/download my collection to my online database, and I can refresh single titles individually.

But, when I try to use the "Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos" feature (how I routinely update my 2K-+ collection) recently, it scans my collection (green Scanning and Overall bars reach the end) and then nothing happens after that, it just times out.

What should I do?  Refreshing my collection, one title at a time is impractical.

Perform a database repair (Menu: Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Database) and try again.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
