| | Posted: | | | | Just bought and saw the latest disney animation "Frozen". Award winning no less. Well, not bad, but I liked Tangled (Rapunzel) a lot better, that one didn't need Spoiler: (Select to view)a whining queen nor an extremely naive younger sister . But, why has Disney gone to such lengths to offend their customers / supporters / ...? The "making of.." is a silly song targeted at 4 year old Kindergarten kids. Nothing more substantial. Just plain offensive, IMHO. Your opinions? | | | Eric

| | Posted: | | | | Um, because they are Disney. If you are looking for grown up titles from the Disney family you'll be happier with Touchstone films. I personally never had much use for Disney other then to keep the kids in the house happy for an hour while I did housework and so on. It may be my dirty mind but I found plenty of adult jokes in Frozen. The music was beautiful and somewhat catchy. You are correct though if you remember Disney from the 60s and 70s it is wayyyyyy different now. |

I loved the film (I loved Tangled too) and wanted to watch an in-depth making-of to see how certain things were done, see the cast and hear their thoughts on the film etc etc.
So, I was very disappointed with what extras there were.
My thoughts are that, at a later date, they'll release a bells 'n' whistles version with loads of extras.
Like MM I buy blu-rays for the films - but if it's a choice between a version with loads of extras or a version without I will always go for the extras.
I will never be someone who goes over to streaming as I really don't want to settle for the inferior quality. If the world of home entertainment EVER goes entirely virtual I will simply stop buying it and just be happy to rewatch what I own. |

It has been released as a 3D at least in the Netherlands, France and Germany. | | | Eric
