Well it is not some kind of flagging, I tried that. It does not export anything additional to XML, and interestingly it is persistent after switching to another database if the profile is present there. So maybe that it is purpose? The possibility to mark profiles in one DB to find them in another? Quote:

| | Posted: | | | | Thanks greyghost, Mithi. I would've like to know the purpose of this quirky little feature but at least I know how to remove the marks now, can't believe I never thought of hitting the same keys! I blame tiredness haha. Thanks again. |

I only learned about it because, at the time, I was regularly adjusting my Features window, making the icons larger or smaller, a new feature at the time (right-click in the Features window) and then that feature was added a release or two later also showing up in the right-click menu. I have used the CTRL+SHIFT+# only once when I was adjusting some file names. Obviously it isn't a feature with much known purpose. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.
