The friend I am staying with never seen X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Should they see that before we watch the new Wolverine film? Story wise... does the new film follow the X-Men Origins film? | | | | Pete |

| | Posted: | | | | X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a prequel to the original X-Men films. Wolverine takes place after X-Men: The Last Stand.
While I don't think it is necessary to watch Origins first, it does put the character 'Wolverine' into context. Before I watched Wolverine, I watched the original trilogy and Origins first. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
