Hi

Is there anyway that I can filter by DVD and Bluray? For example I want to be able to view just my Blurays without every disc in my collection coming up.

Cheers

Sure. In the top left corner, where it says "Filters", go to the Formats tab and below Media Type you can choose the format(s) you want to filter on.

Thanks but all I see under the filter is Media Type Ascending and Descending. I don't get the option to choose specifically Bluray or DVD. I don't see any format tab.

Sorry

I think you are referring to the display options of the collection list. That is the wrong place to look.

1. Make sure you see the Filters windows: via the menu: View -> Windows -> Filters
2. Make sure you see the Formats tab in that Filters window. If you don't, make it visible: RIGHT click in an empty space on the tabs of the Filters window, select View Tab... -> Formats
3. You can then choose the media type: DVD, BluRay and/or HD DVD. Each tick box cycles through blank, select (black tick mark) and 'don't care' (grey tick mark). Play around with these to select either format.

If it is important, say it. Otherwise, let silence speak.

You can also make Custom Collection Categories.

Just right click at the top where you see the tabs named "Owned", "Ordered", and "Wishlist" displayed in the program. It should then list "Other", and just click on that and then "Edit Collection Categories"

From there you can create a "Blu-ray" category...or whatever you want. "DVD-R", "Laserdisc", "VHS" can even be added for example.

You can also alternately find this method at the very top via pulling down Collection -----> Other -----> Edit Collection Categories listed at the very top of the program.

Then just add or move titles to the newly created categories.

If you want the titles in the new category to also still appear visible in your old default Categories, make sure to choose "Globally Unique" — or if you only want to view them in the newly created category choose "Unique within category"
