There are many many titles that I just don't either go to the movies to see.. or I'll wait untill they are on Cable/WiFi.. ..  and then am disappointed - I either compare them to much better films of the same type of script.. and/or they are just so plain silly and unbelievable.. that I would be embarrassed to even admit to my neighbor or co worker  i had just seen this  'new film' .. "have you seen this yet? " --type scenario .. ( i.e. The Heat)..

what did I see which I just devoured from opening scene straight thru.. that was released a year ago?

End of Watch - with  Jake Gyllenhaal

I know there are lots of cop movies out there.. but this one had such a realistic look and feel to the movie I  kept asking my self over and over:  is this reality TV brought to the big screen??????

I work alongside  a 40 year old guy from work who is so wrapped up in new films .. He doesn't even consider older films a necessity in life to find or pursue and watch in 1080 ... ..

the new comedy this season (which I haven't sen but heard it is not very good)  is  Grudge Match with Stallone and DeNiro and this co worker says to me  why didn't they use Schwarzenegger as the opponent..?      and I said pardon?  'why would they use Arnie who has never been in a boxing movie..' and he replied neither has DeNiro.,  well Guess what .?  he had never seen Raging Bull..  too old  and of course  in  black and white..                          sad ...

so as not to let anyone else fall into this  trap . .do check out End Of Watch ..

since I quit going to the theaters. Everything I see is usually 6 months or longer from theater date.

Best so far - Trouble with the Curve.  Red Dawn (Remake) & Perks of Being a Wallflower. World War Z I've watched 4 times.

Yesterday, I watched Man of Steel (a Christmas gift), with no great expectations (Yet another Superman movie...). I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought they did a great job of reinventing the Krypton/Jar-El story. But a lot is due, I believe, to Amy Adams, who is really great as Lois. She was also very good in Trouble with the curve. One of my favorite actresses today.

I've never seen Raging Bull, and 73% of the films in my collection are B&W and 91% were made before 1980.

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Watched Iron Man 2 yesterday.  Thoroughly enjoyed.
