Amazon keeps good records of past purchases.
I got a habit of placing the ordered date, (European style yyyymmdd) and order number in the profile notes section. I use the purchase date as the date it is shipped and charged to my account.
When I started this, I don't remember. But occasionally when I see this missing I go and collect the data.
Purchase June 6, 2003, John Coltrane: The Coltrane Legacy UPC 089948422099, (by the way never contributed, maybe on InterVocative). This is one I was checking out and the used asking price ranges from $49.99 to $233.00. I don't know the original price, but I paid $26.96.

Then others who try to sell their product as affiliates through Amazon go even higher if the item is new. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| | Posted: | | | | We who lived through the glory day's when the studios open their door's, sold right's to distributors and put a lot of content onto shiny disc. It's phenomenon that will sadly never be repeated again as the home video market diversify and content proven to be unprofitable is buried away. Never again seeing the light of day for a commercial release.
DvD's being fragile and the limited amount of sealed/new copy's floating around. It's inevitable you are going to see prices increase as the years roll on. And more content become's OPP.
This will largely affect people who like European art house, independent horror films, silent and classic Hollywood. Not to mention British films to. I mean look at the prices for A Taste of Honey. The BFI had it and then it was picked up by optimum.

I own the 2008 version.
Come And See one of my all time favourite films. Good luck even finding the double disc edition in the wild let alone the ultra rare short lived 2011 artificial eye release.
