Well this may sound like gloating, but it is not intended that way.

I just finishged a huge undertaking and I am so glad it is done I wanted to say something about it.

I purchased "Law & Order: The Complete Series" back in late August.  The cast and crew was only in the DB for seasons 1-6 out of 20

Well since then I have been putting in the cast and crew for seasons 7-20 (yes over four months) and today I FINISHED and contributed the last profile today.

In those profiles I checked every name for common names and made sure all contributable BY's were set.

This was a frustrating series not only because of its length, but the fact that credits in the later seasons changed common names in the previous seasons .  But that is the nature of our common name system.

I am so glad I am finally done with this.  I should go back and audit seasons 1-6. but for now I won't.  After four months I am "Law & Order"'d out

Congratulations & THX. That's 125 profiles.
I doubt if anything like has ever been done, if so not to many times. That series had so many changes in the lead actors much less the supporting cast over the years.

I remember when you first contacted me about your intentions to do it. I could not help much as my DVDs were boxed up do to painting and reflooring of my house all my DVDs were boxed up. That is done, but I still have two rooms of boxes full of dvds, cd, lps, & books to be sorted out. Just finished my Reverse Mortgage, so I guess I'll be living here till I die.

I think if I had done that I don't think I could even look at a DVD, much less a Law & Order DVDs.
So much duplication, but yet differences you have to verify.

Of the Law & Order in the USA and UK franchises available dvds a total 212, that leaves 87 to finalize. And Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is still going strong.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

I don't like doing TV series - I can't imagine the time and effort you put into all that work.

Thank you very much.
