Since this version was released nearly a year ago I have noticed with my profile submissions to the Invelolos DVDProfiler database, the checked box, although checked by me, becomes unchecked whenver I upload a new or updated profiler for approval. I did make mention oof this earlier in the year when I submitted profilers for "Miss Fisher Murder Mysterïes". The majority of film and television screened in Australia (Region 4 DVD, Region B BRD) have "closed caption" or "English SDH" included with the programme due to statutory requirements. I would apprciate it if this bug could be investigated and corrected.
Veni, Vidi, Visa, Vista, Voodoo, Vino
I came, I saw, I bought, I installed Vista, I'm now haunted, I need wine

Apologies to Julius Caesar in 47 BC who said  "Veni, Vidi, Vici" - "I came, I saw, I conquered."

If I understand correctly, Ken rejects Closed Captioning for every region except Region 1.

There was a discussion earlier, that said DVD's released for Australia do not have Closed Captioning (notice capitalization).  This is a US product, and mandated by the US on all NTSC televisions.  Closed Captioning is transmitted within the NTSC stream and requires special decoders to be able to display it (I understand these decoders are not manufactured into TV designed for Australia.  You may encounter a DVD that has closed Captioning, but these are typically multi region DVD's, and not ones strictly for Australia.

These are actually special subtiltles (or captions, notice lower case).  These are selectable, just like any other subtitle.  In the US, we have Subtitles for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (SDH) built into our Blu Rays (Closed Captioning is not transmitted via HDMI)

Clear as mud, right?

CC isn't transmitted by HDMI, but Blu-rays can have Closed Captioning present on them and viewable via analog connections:
