| Posted: | | | | While editing Cast in the profiler with application of a group divider directly followed by an episode divider, there is a need of closing the group with an end divider before starting the new episode. Otherwise the cast of the new episode still belongs to the group before indicated by being formatted as to be shifted a little to the right.
Example 1: GROUP DIVIDER Cast Cast EPISODE DIVIDER Cast Cast [this is wrong]
Example 2: GROUP DIVIDER Cast Cast --------------------- <- group end divider EPISODE DIVIDER Cast Cast [this is correct] Try it on your own profiler and you see what I mean.
The rules are: • Groups should be ended with a "Group End" type divider, unless the next entry begins a new group. Do not add a group end divider at the end of the cast, or at the end of a crew section.
Would be helpful to explain this case in the rules too, because many user do not know about it and there are lots of profiles incorrect in database.
This case also results to confusion when contributed. |

| Posted: | | | | No end divider before an episode divider. This was brought up before and Ken himself chimed in saying it is a format bug that will be fixed and the correct way to contribute is WITHOUT an end divider before an episode divider. Quoting Ken Cole:Quote: It is in fact a bug and will be fixed in the next minor release. Submitting without the end divider is correct. So any with end dividers before an episode divider submitted is against the rules and needs to be voted no to. | | | Pete |

Do not add a group end divider at the end of the cast, or at the end of a crew section. Just so you know the part of the rule that I put in bold is the reason why no end divider before an episode divider. A disc with multiple episodes on one side (or films for that matter) is a disc with multiple features. So it has multiple cast and crew lists. And per rules there is no end divider at the end of a cast or crew list. Just because there is another feature after it on the disc don't change the fact that above it is the end of a cast list. If you read the thread from the start you will understand better (whether you agree with it or not). THREAD: GROUP END DIVIDERS AND EPISODE CAST | | | Pete |

Just great... It's those darned Android users who are to blame. If they could have waited another year or so, Ken could have rolled out that minor release. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |
