I have about 1,900 DVD titles in my collection and each DVD is sequentially numbered. I quit buying DVD's a couple years back since i was buying Blu-Ray's instead.
At that time i had no need to use DVD Profiler as i only had a few Blu-Ray titles and quit buying DVD's. Now my Blu-Ray collection is nearing 200 titles and i need to add them to DVD Profiler.
My problem is on occasion i still buy tv series on DVD since some of these older TV series don't look
any better on Blu-Ray ( if even available ) than they do on DVD. I don't want the DVD's on the shelf to
simply end and run into Blu-ray's  as i have a need to insert DVD's from time to time. I keep the DVD's separate from the Blu-Ray's and so how can i add a Blu-Ray title without picking up when the DVD's
left off.
I would like to have my DVD's  1-1900 in one area and my Blu-Ray's 1-200 in another area. Is there a way
to add the Blu-Ray's so they have a  numbering system separate from the DVD's ?

Yup. I haven't used it that way, but when you edit a profile, on the personal information page is your collection number. You can start say at 5000 for BRs or whatever number you want. You can renumber and adjust through collection, reassign collection numbers after you have them numbered, as well.

Or, you could put your BRs on another tab. You can create your own now. That way your DVDs would be in one collection and your BRs on another within the same collection. You can see them all at once, too, if you need it.

Add a Custom Collection Category and select Collection Number to be Unique within category.

Select Edit Collection Categories in the Tools menu.

I have the need to add the BR's to DvdProfiler as i am finding my self buying doubles of the same titles. I have just purchased DvDProfiler for Android as i always have my phone when buying BR's, this will keep me from buying the same titles twice since i can refer to the app prior to buying it.

Not sure if these suggestions will have the same functionality on the PC and Android alike so i will try both suggestions and see which works best with the Android app and props to Ken for the awesome Android app and thanks for creating it. I would have paid 3X the price as it will save me well more than the cost of the app from buying doubles that i can't take back after realizing months later that i have dupes .

UPDATE :
Followed your suggestion greyghost and that is exactly what i was looking for and it's working perfectly . Thank you too Lori , your second post seems to be the same suggestion as greyshost's .

ps
ignore my signature as those pages are from years ago and in need editing. Time to get back on the DVDProfiler trail.

I cant find that option in my tools-menu.

I have only those menu-items that are listed in the online-help here:

What happens if you reset the Main Menu toolbar?

F1Database select tools > Edit Collection Categories ( hopefully you have that ) then click  add in the lower left corner . Then in the field in the top center of the window type the name
of your new category in my case it was Blu-Ray.
Select your icon of choice or create one. For the collection numbers option i selected Unique.

Either try a different, newer layout.
Or rightclick(!) on Tools, choose 'Customize', choose the tab 'Commands', choose 'Collection' in the left window and scroll down in the right till you find 'Edit Collection Categories', click and hold and drag this to whatever menu you choose.

Mithi's solution is working.

@bbbbb
How to reset the the toolbar?

I using the easy-sight layout from the download-section from invelos.
That was the only layout where i could find all the needed windows.

Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Reset all menus
But that didn't helped me on my virtual machine.

Most likely it is simply older than Collection Categories, those menus are stored in the layout. So you might want to look through all those commands once "Nesting Boxsets" would be another thing that might come in handy.
And once you are satisfied save your layout and include it in the next backup!

Indeed.

But those other two do exactly what is needed.
Everyone not using a standard layout might want to hit one of those, after saving his or her current layout. And if you are pleased with the result save the new layout also.

Indeed.

Don't know, might still reference the default menus of an earlier version. The Layout design is defective, though, it obviously records current menu items, maybe it should record removed menu items.
