I failed to update the abyss. When i got to ""compare" this is what it says in the "title" field; "Screeners; delete this title from online database"
And under "Edition" "WRONG LOCALITY"

What the F*** is this??  This is the fully legit Norwegian release!

Could someone check this please!

What is the EAN for the title?

Looking at your online collection, you have The Abyss under  7-036988-001305. I've just downloaded it and it all looks fine. The edition shows "Special Edition".

Do you have another copy not in your online?

Just one copy.
If I go -Online->refresh dvd from invelos->preview changes, it still shows up as I wrote. It is the online profile that has this bull*** info.

I think your problem is related to the issue you posted on the other thread.

Why? Because I just downloaded The Abyss: UPC 7-036988-001305 (the same one in your collection) and I did not run into the problem you are having. The profile downloaded and refreshed without any problems.

Well, it might dowload without problem, but did you do as I did, and checked the preview? BEFORE You downloaded it?

But i have given up, and downloads other releases of the corrupt profiles instead, then I can delete the corrupt ones. I am pretty sure the database is corrupt in a way that makes it impossible to repair.

Thanks for trying to help, though.

Download profile also without any issues. Added Michael Chapman BY and contributed without any issue.

Keep yours for a few days Kathy and see if the update goes through.

Ok, this is confusing. I downloaded Speed 7-041270-877759 (that's the one you have, right?), and it looked perfectly normal to me.

I've downloaded both Norwegian Speed releases that are available in the database and neither is showing anything about deletion for being invalid and that includes the notes required when you submit an update.

The thing is that if somebody submits a deletion update then, if the screeners agree it's correct to remove it, then the profile is removed and no longer downloadable. What you don't get is a downloadable profile with the title changed to the 'please delete' message.

I'm inclined to agree with Kathy that this is linked to the local database corruption you mentioned in another thread.

Of course it would help if you confirmed the EAN and locality as shown in Profiler,  just so we can check we are looking at exactly the same thing.

Yes, very confusing. And yes, that is the right ean.
Since you guys get this to work, maybe I should delete the movies instead of updating, and re-add them?
There are qutie a few of them that get this crap.
What I dont get is where is this sh** info coming from?

Have you tried any of the fixes that were posted on the other thread? Try them, and any others that community members suggest, and if they don't work open a Support Ticket.

Since no one else is able to replicate the issue, I think the problem is on your end.

If the problem is on your computer then it seems to me that it will keep cropping up until you fix it.

Please check in DVDProfiler-menu "DVD -> Change Locality" if the profile in your local collection is set to locality "Norway".

From what I've read in this thread so far it's quite likely that it isn't.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Gave up.
Deleted and downloaded an other release. Locality is Norway, by the way.

My automated backup failed as it is done daily with only one extra copy, so my backups contained the same errors.

Stil dont understand how these errors can pop up, but the admin can close this thread now.

Thanks for trying to help, guys!

Best regards M.

I just looked at your online collection and it seems fine.

I don't know if you want to but you can always download the online collection to override your local database.

Have you tried a database repair before comparing?
