AA friend sent me this, I got a kick out ot it.
Anger Management.

When you occasionally have a really bad day, And you just need to take it out on someone,
Don't take it out on someone you know, Take it out on someone you don't know,
But you know deserves it.

I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make.
I found the number and dialed it.

A man answered, saying 'Hello..'

I politely said, 'This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?'

Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear 'Get the right f***ing number!'
And the phone was slammed down on me.

I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude.

When I tracked down Robyn's correct number to call her,
I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits.

After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again.

When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled, 'You're an a--hole!' And hung up.

I wrote his number down with the word 'a--hole' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer.

Every couple of weeks, When I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up
and yell, 'You're an a--hole!'

It always cheered me up.

When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my therapeutic 'a--hole' calling would have to stop.

So, I called his number and said, 'Hi, this is John Smith from the telephone company.
I'm calling to see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?'

He yelled 'NO!' and slammed down the phone.

I quickly called him back and said, 'That's because you're an a--hole!' and hung up.

One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking spot.

Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for.
I hit the horn and yelled that I'd been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me.

I noticed a 'For Sale ' sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number.

A couple of days later, right after calling the first a--hole
(I had his number on speed dial)
I thought that I'd better call the BMW a--hole, too.

I said, 'Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?'

He said, 'Yes, it is.'

I then asked, can you tell me where I can see it?'

He said, 'Yes, I live at  34 Oak tree Blvd. , in  Fairfax
It's a yellow ranch style house and the car's parked right out in front.'

I asked, 'What's your name?'

He said, 'My name is Don Hansen.'

I asked, 'When's a good time to catch you, Don?'

He said, 'I'm home every evening after five.'

I said, 'Listen, Don, can I tell you something?'

He said, 'Yes?'

I said, 'Don, you're an a--hole!'

Then I hung up, and added his number to my speed dial, too.

Now, when I had a problem, I had two a--holes to call.

Then I came up with an idea...

I called a--hole #1.

He said, 'Hello'

I said, 'You're an a--hole!' (But I didn't hang up.)

He asked, 'Are you still there?'

I said, 'Yeah!'

He screamed, 'Stop calling me'

I said, 'Make me.'

He asked, 'Who are you?'

I said, 'My name is Don Hansen.'

He said, 'Yeah? Where do you live?'

I said, 'unfriendly person, I live at 34 oak tree Blvd., in Fairfax ,
A yellow ranch style home and I have a black Beamer parked in front.'

He said, 'I'm coming over right now, Don.
And you had better start saying your prayers.'

I said, 'Yeah, like I'm really scared, a--hole,'
And hung up.

Then I called A--hole #2.

He said, 'Hello?'

I said, 'Hello, a--hole,'

He yelled, 'If I ever find out who you are...'

I said, 'You'll what?'

He exclaimed, 'I'll kick you’re a--'

I answered, 'Well, a--hole, here's your chance.
I'm coming over right now.'

Then I hung up and immediately called the police,
saying that I was on my way over to 34 oak tree Blvd, in Fairfax, to kill my gay lover.

Then I called Channel 5 News
about the gang war going down on oak tree Blvd in Fairfax .

I quickly got into my car and headed over to Fairfax.

I got there just in time to watch the two a--holes
beating the crap out of each other
in front of six cop cars, an overhead news helicopter
and surrounded by a news crew.

NOW I feel much better.

Too bad your hero forgot that the police can trace phone calls.

Yupp,

but in this case they wouldn't have a reason to, since for them the caller is obviously beating up the inhabitant of 34 Oak Tree Blvd.

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I always feel better when, after sitting in a 30 minutes traffic jam because some a- hole up a head wasn't paying enough attention and therefore did not do a good job in navigating his vehicle thru normal rush hour mode ..and had a rear ender which involved police and tow trucks etc.. when I finally get up to where that culprit is either sitting or standing nearby his car .. I lower my left right window and let fly with a barrage of profanity to his direction ..

That  my friends  makes me feel a whole lot better ...

When I see a situation like that I always give them a big hand and a thumbs up. That really torque their jaws.

It's been a while since I read that one. Good stuff!

I hold in my anger/irritation until I am with a few particular people, then we all vent on each other. While some say that holding in anger isn't good for you, I disagree somewhat. I believe it teaches patience under a situation like mine where I know I will be able to get it out eventually with people who actually care to hear it.

Here's a situation that I never saw coming that you might enjoy:

My father cannot hold in his anger. He was never abusive, physically or verbally, just so you understand, but when things really got him mad, he expected to get his way. He used to be a strong man with a strong voice and is very likable, so when he spoke, people usually listened.

Well, around 15 years ago, I answered his phone--a toll-free number with a company name--and on the other end was a black man trying to convince me to subscribe to, if I remember correctly, Black Enterprise magazine. After several "No" responses, I eventually just hung up. I knew my parents wouldn't subscribe, and even so would not do it over the phone to a random person calling in.

A couple of days in a row the number would appear again... always the same guy, leaving a snickering racial comment on the answering machine. On about the third call, my father answered the phone first (usually I did,) and all I recall was a few angry racial or near-racial comments on his part and him slamming the phone down. Only one more call came in from that number after that. A week later at most, a call came in with no name or number. I answered, and I knew the voice well enough by now, but like the few previous calls, it was a sort of retaliation call against what my father had said. It wasn't in anger... more like poking fun hoping to get him angry again (though the guy didn't know from a simple, "Hello?" that it was not my father who answered the phone.) I hung up. He called back a few hours later, and by coincidence my father answered the phone right as the answering machine kicked in, so the conversation was on loudspeaker and being recorded. Again, still no name or number. The guy was amused at how he was able to make my father mad by laughingly using racial comments, knowing we didn't know who he was. It irritates me when my father gets so mad over something as petty as a prank call, but I can't stop him from being who he is.

Eventually, the guy hung up but called back two more times the next day (there was even another guy snickering in the background during the last call.) Thinking quickly after the earlier experience, though, I pressed the answering machine button and managed to record the conversations in full (on mini-cassettes since it was an old machine.) My father just doesn't give in, and that only fueled the fire for the guy. However, on the call after that, as I listened from the loudspeaker, right as the guy got started my father cut him off telling him all of their conversations were/are being recorded and the police have been notified to trace the number and arrest him.

"Shi..."*click*

We never heard from him again

I can't remember the last time I was really angry.

If someone is being nasty, I usually roll my eyes and forget about it a few seconds later.

I never answer my phone - that's what answering machines are for - so I don't have to worry about "those" calls.

I'm lucky that no matter how heavy the traffic is in Buffalo the drive never takes more than a half hour or so extra. I've learned to always leave a half hour early so I don't need to worry about being late.

It's funny - I often rode my bike to work and cars would zoom by me only to have me catch them at next light. When it turned green the cars would take off only to have me catch them again and again.

I'm sure the drivers were having a tantrum but I must admit I loved it and found it difficult to not laugh out loud!
