| | Posted: | | | | I am hoping you have some ideas. I think this is a windows issue, but I can't find where to fix it.
I have been using the iOS version for months, connecting to my desktop by pc-name
It all of a sudden stopped working. I did all combinations of disabling the firewall, etc.
All other computers on the network can see my PC by name
I reset the phone settings to go by IP and it worked. But something changed so I can no longer connect by name. do you have any idea what it could be. |

just set the IP address to being fixed on the PC
(by switching off dhcp and setting the IP address yourself) | | | | Paul |

| | Posted: | | | | It probably is just a setting so the NetBIOS names be pushed out so the phone can see it. There were windows updates a few days ago, my guess is one of those messed with my settings.
From the obvious things to check all is as it should be. But something changed. |
