Refreshing Updated Profiles doesn't complete.

Suddenly, when I choose to "Refresh Updated Profiles," the program seems to scan all the images,, and the overall update complete - the green bars go all the way across - but it doesn't finish: the dialogue box stays on the screen, and you never get to the new box with the updated profiles.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Check if the error persists after a database repair (Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair database).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
