so the other day I was asking about the wood shelving  and then before that - the inability to use you tube link to view trailers was not working ...  ......now I find My reports are all gone and not there ..

here's  the situation I have brought about myself ..

I moved all My Documents to another drive .. that of course moved my Profiler to the second drive as well .. I managed to get Profiler up and running..,  but not as great as it was before ..

So I moved profiler from  My documents2  Back again  to my Main Drive  again ..  So I guess I now have two profilers on my Windows XP ..

Discovered today that my Reports are not there and I really want everything to be back to normal..

MY windows 7 Laptop also has Profiler on it and it looks great .. I usually transfer my .dpb on a flash drive over to the laptop ( twice a month ) when keeping library  in sync totally with the correct scans .. but will (and do)  just download the Main saved library from Invleos cloud  to laptop ( and my iPhone) every other day ..

So with my main library all screwed up with these problems  .. How to get my main library back on course..?  ( I know that the .dpb I generate does not contain the reports or even the ability to run the you tube links.. )

Should I ( after saving the the most current .dpb )  totally REMOVE  Profiler form my XP PC  and then reinstall .. then update the current .dpb base..

Or is there another simpler way?

Thanks

From what you described I'd say no.

Uninstalling, reinstalling and updating the database should all in all not take more than 10 minutes.
Finding out what actually went wrong and how to fix this may take several hours.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

so I uninstalled more than twice (from control panel/ add-remove ) .. each time I went to re-install from website /download It just put my  old profiler back into  place instantly ..

so I had to not only uninstall but deleted the dvd profiler folders within my documents ..

Then I got a major error in rebuilding the new install with detecting old saved data it couldn't find my thumbnails to install ..  can't remember the error exactly but it had the word 'dream'  in it ..

so I started with a fresh install no titles / installed one title to start with .. set up my view and my layout load.. then reinstalled the saved data from the invelos  cloud .. then after that reinstalled my saved data from my one of HD settings ..

reports are back .,,  lost my data query  still trying to figure that out form Mark's web site ..

and the gold button for youtube site  isn't in the toolbar ...... so have to figure that out too ..

simply by dragging it. Left-click and hold, now go to e.g. Collection, wait until it opens, place the command to your liking and release.
