I did a cursory seach in the forums, but could not find a similar post.

Lately I've had an issue with my Collection Numbering.  Since new discs to existing entries are added with the next sequential number,  I had tried to re-assign numbers based on Purchase Date.  That seemed to work for awhile,  but I recently noticed that something was awry.  I noticed this when I synchronized my collection to my tablet.  What was my first DVD bought (Braveheart), which used to be #1, was now #70.  When I sorted on Collection Number I found that there were no discs numbered below that.  I tried to manually re-assign Braveheart to #1 and re-assign the collection again, but that had no affect.  It kept Braveheart #1, but started my next oldest at #70.  I even ran the Database Repair Utility to see  if that would fix it, but no.

Anyone seen this and know a solution that t.hey could share?

... okay, nevermind.

Okay, just to see where you are, you go Collection-> Reassign Collection Numbers... and you check Reassign all collection numbers at the top and neither Do not renumber Below: or above are checked?

Did you try to renumber by title and then again by purchase date in case something is "stuck"?

cya, Mithi

PS Do you perhaps use Collection Categories? In that case one of those might occupy the first 70 numbers. Check it their Collection Number setting are to your liking.
