I too have started getting this problem today. I get an error message saying unable to download file/check connection/continue anyway etc. If I choose continue then profile update shows an error and then image update connects correctly and downloads. Using the repair utility as you suggested to another user has done nothing to rectify the problem. My Internet connection has been checked using the tools option and is working just fine which is born out by image update working correctly. Profile update though, doesn't want to know.

See the server update thread in website discussion.

Invelos server upgrade has caused the issue and Ken is working on it.

The problems might be caused by invelos' implementing a Service Upgrade. There are a few issues cropping up hich they are working on.

I have seen this error also, but only for certain DVDs' child profile downloads. E.g., 6 or 7 in a row will work fine, then 2 or 3 fail, then a few more are successful.

Always seems to be the same DVDs that cannot get profiles. This has occurred for the past two years and is still occurring now.

Anyone alse seeing this?

Thank you.

That sounds lake a local database error. Try a repair by going to

Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Profile Database

But if the problem is still there with the same profiles, you will need to be more specific by giving the UPCs.
