I have turned on sharing across my network and I have connected one PC (so far) to my DVD profiler server instance. I made sure "Allow changes from remote clients" is turned on and tested this with and without a password. I am unable to edit existing items and it is impossible to add new. Icons/menu items related to this are all greyed out. I am using the latest version of DVD Profiler, at the time of writing 3.8.2, build 1542.

The "edit"-opinion only relates to some personal-data and watched-events IIRC, not really changing the profiles itselves. Unfortunately this is the full extent of functionality you see.

For getting "Full Access" to the remote database all you'd have to do is to allow remote access to the database-folder from Windows Explorer on the Host-Computer and then point the DVDProfiler installation(s) on the Client-Computer(s) to this "shared" database.

This variant allows full access for all clients but only one at a time. When trying to connect more than 1 client to the database DVDProfiler will crash.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
