I don't really want to pirate a newer version (which was the suggestion of my coworker), though the cost of the new version + the fact that I have an older version that now doesn't work really tempts me to do so. Does anyone know a good alternative to Photoshop? One that's either freeware or low cost? It also has to be relatively easy to use, as I'm not a computer expert or anything. When I tried it for a while, some years ago, I found it was far more than I needed, but if you are used to Photoshop, it may be just what you need. Another program that is highly regarded, but much simpler/more limited as far as editing, is IrfanView. I have this installed now (under Windows 7) and have used it only a few times. A second one I have installed right now, having read positive reviews, is PhotoScape.
