Two posting [1] [2] recently caught my attention.

[1] Had an ASCII Control Character 0x1A (SUB) in the Overview of profile 7321900753418 / UK
It is shown as in DVD Profiler. An XML-file with this character is unusable with xsltproc, Saxon (Java) and MSXSL.

[2] Managed to insert a 0x1F (US) in a Crew-Name which leads to the same problem.

Now the question is, are those characters even supposed to be in the database? And if yes, how should they be handled in the export? Is it a question of Codepage?

cya, Mithi
