This thread is to determine the common name for casting director and actress Jane Jenkins aka J. J. Chaback. According to the CLT results, her common name is Jane Jenkins, but if IMDB is to be believed, most of the titles that show up under the results for "Jane Jenkins" should actually be a variation of J. J. Chaback. Moreover, there is a substantial deal of overlap between the CLT results .

Additionally, there's something funky going on as some of the results for Jane Jenkins show her credited as Production Sound Mixer on titles such as Air Force One, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, and Transformers - all of which she only served as a casting director, a credit we do not track.

J. J. Chaback / J.J. Chaback / J J Chaback are all filtered the same so I'll count them together but keep them separated for "credited as" name purposes.

J J and J. J. ARE filtered differently unless you know something I don't. 

A beautiful Mind is JJ Chaback on screen no space between the JJ. 1/24 in CLT.

I wasn't too sure so I gave it a try. J J Chaback does get automatically filtered to J. J. Chaback (J J Chaback). JJ Chaback is the only one that isn't filtered.

Thanks. I had checked this earlier, but wasn't sure. The Js look slightly further apart than the other letters, but it's not a full space. Or the slimness of the Js are playing tricks with my eyes. Here's the credit for reference.

That's easy: there was once an "IMDb2DVDP"-tool that mined IMDb's data into the DVD Profiler format which had one major bug: it consistently entered casting credits as "Production Sound Mixer". So every time you see a casting director listed as Production Sound Mixer, you know for sure that the rest of the profile is IMDb-mined data as well.

'The Beautician and the Beast': J. J. Chaback.

The thing with Ms. Jenkins is that she's consistently credited as Jane Jenkins when she's working on the casting department, but as JJ/J.J./J. J. Chaback when she makes the occasional acting cameo. Since we don't track casting in the online database, it seems the common name will go to the "Chaback" name variant. But I happen to track casting in my local database, using custum crew entries, so for me personally, she'll always be credited loads more times as "Jane Jenkins"...

I have Jane Jenkins credited as J.J. variants for Ransom and Outbreak, has that name ever even been used at all? I see no place for it, much less any confirmed. I'm freaking changing it right now!

It looks like the Jane Jenkins common name might be due to a lot of profiles getting their information from IMDB.
